How To Remove A Kitchen Cabinet Counter Top?

Hello Everyone,
I’m a young female and I would like to replace my kitchen countertop cabinet. The sink is attached to the unit and I would like to know how to remove the entire cabinet…if someone can provide me quick and easy steps on how to do this? I would greatly appreciate the advice

Do you mean that you want to replace the countertop? If so, there are screws on the underside of the countertop. All you have to do is open the cupboard doors and look up and around between the countertop and the cabinet. Once you unscrew the screws, then you need to cut through the caulk, if any between the countertop and the backsplash. Next, turn off the water, disconnect the water lines from the faucet/sprayer, the food disposal (be sure to unplug it! LOL). If it’s a corner type counter, sometimes there are these metal “clamps” that screw…or if you have super muscled men helping you out, have them lift it in one piece (if it’s not too long. If you’re saving the sink, remove it outside, clean it up and install your sink and faucets BEFORE you put your new countertop in. The first time I replaced my sink I didn’t do that, and I HATED myself because I had to lay on my back (NOT comfy!!) and try to fiddle with tightening the faucet, the handles and the sprayer with a LONG special wrench with my hand wedged between a very deep sink and the wall. It was NOT fun!!! The second time I installed a sink it was SO EASY because the countertop was on its side and I could stand behind where the wall would be and access to what needed to be tightened down was like night and day instead of it taking me 45 minutes, I think I was done in about 15 minutes, if that. Once the sink is back in place, it’s just a matter of reversing exactly how you removed the countertop.
This is based on a formica type countertop. Tile is much different.
