How Many Times A Week Do You Mop Your Kitchen Floor?

I am feeling like I am either mopping it too much a week, or too little.
Sometimes it will be clean, but if I run a kitchen wipe over the floor…the wipe is still black like there is hidden dirt. I scrub on my hands and knees, and still don’t get a wipe to come up clean.
Am I taking the “white glove” test too seriously?

Maybe you are leaving a soap residue on the floor and it is attracting the stuff that shows up black. Try less detergent. Maybe even just a rinse.
Usually 2 or 3 times a week. Sometimes more. I sweep every day though.
once upon a time I had 3 toddlers. I mopped the kitchen 6 times a day. It was totally necessary to do it or stick to the floor!!
Now I am a grandmother and mop the kitchen once a month. Nobody is ever in there except at Christmas.
IT’s best to mop it once a day or once a week, but if you are too tired or busy, every two weeks is still okay if you wear slippers in the kitchen.
I mop my floor once a week. It’s only me and my husband so it doesn’t get that dirty. I sweep it every day thought just because you never know when there are stray hairs.:)
2-3 times a week.
Four times a week but I am starting to think it should be done every evening.
once a week…don’t have time for more
My grandmother alway said you can be too clean and you have to eat a peck of dirt in your lifetime….I’m not sure exactly but I think you can be too clean, after all our immune system needs something to react to…but back to the kitchen floor. You don’t mention whether it’s lino or tile or slate. With our slate floor we had to totally strip it (on our hands and knees and a stiff brush with stripper), then re seal it, whoever put black slate on a kitchen floor (with white countertops) needs to be shot. I think tile and lino are much easier to keep, but it depends on the traffic flow! If you have a heavy traffic area, from front door in, those areas as well as the area where the toaster and sink are are going to take a beating. You could try a small, washable mat in front of the sink. I find I sweep with a good quality microfiber dry mop, like a Norwex one, 2 to 3 times a week, that will pick up most everything, then I use their wet mop to go over it quickly, it requires very little effort and is the best system on the market. Quite honestly once I found microfiber, everything else is seldom used. Now sit back with a good cup of tea, a friend and some nice cookies and relax, and put away the wipes, tables are for eating not floors.
i think the white glove test results depend on the mop you are using
