Also, you need to make sure the area under the dishwasher is tiled. I have come across many jobs that were originally vinyl, tile had been put in up to the dishwasher and the dishwasher was trapped between the floor and the counter-tops.
So either the base cabinets are put in first, raised to the Finished Floor Height, or the cabinet man has to lay-out the cabinets for the tile man, which will not happen

The reason the moron said raise the base cabinets 3/4″ is because the standard height of the cabinets are a set dim. and the appliances cannot be changed , Moron.
Also, you need to make sure the area under the dishwasher is tiled. The reason is that you will not always want your tile, and if there is flood, the floor may have to be pulled-up.
Have the cabinet guys install the base cabinets raised off the ground, 1/2 to 3/4 in. and of course leveled.

Cabinets should go on first.
The reason is that you will not always want your tile, and if there is flood, the floor may have to be pulled-up.
Have the cabinet guys install the base cabinets raised off the ground, 1/2 to 3/4 in. and of course leveled.

By: delana

Cabinets first and tile around
I'm not sure about the moron who suggested raising the cabinets 1/2 to 3/4 - BUT DON'T DO THAT
The main reason is that cabinets are more permanent than flooring and you would not want to remove all the cabinets to replace the floor

Cabinets first and tile around
I’m not sure about the moron who suggested raising the cabinets 1/2 to 3/4 – BUT DON’T DO THAT
The main reason is that cabinets are more permanent than flooring and you would not want to remove all the cabinets to replace the floor

By: servant4

do your cabinets first, you may mess up your floor !!

do your cabinets first, you may mess up your floor !!
