What’s The Best Way To Get A Kitchen Floor Really Clean?
We have an old kitchen floor (linoleum) and no matter what I do or what I clean it with, it always seems old and gross. Aside from it being old, there always seems to be an icky film over it, and when I’m done I always notice spots that look like they could be cleaner.
So if you were going to make your kitchen floor the cleanest (I’m planning on moving stuff and cleaning everywhere) what would you use as far as cleaners, mop, brushes, etc., and what would be your method for going about doing it?

Before you start stripping, try ammonia, if you haven’t already. Use one cup in a gallon of warm water and let it sit on your floor for a couple of minutes before you mop & rinse. It really worked for me. My floor had a film on it no matter what I used till I tried ammonia. I couldn’t believe the difference. Be careful, though, since the stuff is caustic to breathe. Get your pets (especially birds) and children away if you have any and keep your windows open.
Finding out what type of lino you have can help.. Sounds like you ll need a stripper (flooring stripper) and not what your other half might think about.lol I don t know about commercial grade though.. You may have to buy to big of container and may be a lot of money.. I d check w/ local floor store and see about a stripper and sealer 1st.. Your floor may be old enough to have to wax it to get any shine to it.. Hard to say unless you can find out what vinyl/lino you have.. It may just take a regular floor stripper and a sealer I can t say w/o more info GL
Try using the Mr. Clean Eraser will take time and a few…
Also try Vinegar and hot water…sounds like you will need to use some elbow grease too so I wouldn’t bother with mops..Just get on your hands and knees with a good scrubber and crank up the music.
Good Luck!
First use a commercial wax stripper
Then use an ammonia based cleaning product, and a scrub brush.
Then give an overall rinse.
