Why lemon juice is a handy kitchen cleaner

Lemon juice is a handy, versatile, natural kitchen cleanser. It even smells clean!
The main reason it is such a versatile addition to the kitchen routine, is that it cuts through those “hard to do” tasks, where rubbing or soaking in soapy water just don’t work! And it may be applied in no time at all! No messy “mixing and matching” and waiting! It is simple to use and time efficient!
The pungent, citrus smell cuts through:
* Refrigerator odours! For several hours, leave a sponge or washer soaked in lemon juice in the recalcitrant fridge!
* Onion, garlic, meat smelling chopping boards! Just half a lemon rubbed over the board will eradicate smells and sanitise the board!
The juice cuts through:
* Food stuck on bowls and utensils!
* Coffee grime on coffee pots and kitchen table tops!
* Oil on utensils! Add a pinch of salt for the more difficult ones.
* Mineral deposits on chrome!
The juice cleans:
* Copper! Again, add a pinch of salt for the more stubborn stains!
* Dishwasher!
* Laminated areas, especially if they are scratch prone!
* Your hands after handling greasy food! Dip in a finger bowl of water and lemon juice! Add the luxury of a warm damp cloth to wipe the hands afterwards!
* The microwave! Hardened food on the inside can be steamed away by mixing lemon juice and water and leaving on high for 5 to 10 minutes! Allow condensation! Wipe away!
But, the ultimate appeal of the lemon is to ward off those pesky insects and ants in the summer months! Squirt some lemon juice around the sills and leave wedges near door openings. Your kitchen will FEEL a lot cleaner without intruders sabotaging your food!
Lemon juice is a handy kitchen cleaner because it is a multi-purpose, natural product. It is health friendly! And it helps the kitchen SMELL clean too!
