Kitchen Cabinets:refacing Kitchen Cabinets?

I am considering refacing my kitchen cabinets but am finding it rather expensive. My question to you is can I sand off the existing laminate and restain the existing cabinets or is this not a good idea. the back of the cabinets are laminate as well however under the laminate is particle board. help

hmmm… that is a lot of works that need to be done. But i think that is a nice idea to make your cabinet to look brand new! =D

If you clean the doors well ( TSP) then use a primer for laminate, then you can paint them. Get the TSP at the paint store where you get the primer.
