a beach theme would look cute in there. Paint the walls a pale soft yellow and all the woodwork around the windows and base-boards in bight white. Add touches of blue in your towels, pot holders, candles and place mats. Walmart has some with a beach scene on them. Hang some crisp white cafe curtains over your sink. Get some weathered white wood candle sticks and add some blue candles. Get a basket or a large tall glass container with a lid and add shells in it to the top. Try to find a little sign that says “life’s a Beach”, or “gone to the beach”, Find a few wooden birds like a Pelican or sand piper to sit around on the counter or on top of your cabinets with a wooden light house or two. A spoon rest with a shell on it. A shell night light.
Add a good sized rug to the floor with a beach scene in it, or a big straw mat, it will look great and help to hide a bit of the vinyl floor underneath. Think about some new knobs and drawer pulls for the cabinets, and when you move you can add back what is there and take yours with you. Have fun with this, you can do it, I know you can. Well, the counters are neutral, so you could go with any theme. Sounds like the tile is putting a dent in things, though. I guss if the tile is already a country theme, I’d go with that. Maybe incorporate some other colors so it’s not to baby-ish with the blue and pink. Or use darker shades of the colors. sorry, but it sounds like you’re pretty limited with that tile!
