I’m especially interested in Sears, but generally, was it successful? Are you happy with the results? We have a very plain oak-ish kitchen – not solid wood stuff… I’m interested in refacing things and maybe changing colors. I also need a new sink, faucet, and countertops. One more question, do you reface first, then change the floor, or change the floor first? We need new tile,. too! Oh yes – cost involved in refacing? We have 17 cabinet areas in about a 14 x 14 kitchen. Thanks for your answers!

I am building my kitchen from scratch and I need a kitchen maker. I am looking for a good quality brand, but not necessarily top of the line. I am thinking of a white glossy laminate cabinets and stainless steel appliances. I have met with german and italian kitchen makers. But so far I’ve only met 2 that are within my budget and have the design requirement I have. Please help anyone?

Does anyone know how I could seal a stained hardwood kitchen floor to protect it from water, high traffic and scratching?
Are there any products that are clear but strong that I can put over the hardwood to protect it?
I took up the linoleum flooring in my kitchen and found a very pretty hardwood floor underneath.
My kitchen is a high traffic area in my house and where my dog sleeps at night which he has long nails.

We are planning on having a new kitchen installed, possibly from either MFI or Magnet, and also having our ancient boiler replaced at the same time. We want our new boiler to be installed within a kitchen cabinet but are not sure whether it is possible to get them into a wall cabinet or whether you’d have to use a full length cabinet?

We are about to buy a new home. The kitchen cabinets are white and we prefer a wood look along the lines of honey oak or cherry. Has anyone tried to reface white cabinets with a wood? What suggestions would you have?
