Get the kitchen you want and save money when you oversee the job yourself.

As a custom cabinet designer/fabricator, at Cabinets Etc. of Huntington Beach California, I have personally seen many applications, designs and styles coming together to make a homeowners dream kitchen come true.

Working with a reputable general contractor can make the project a whole lot easier, if you can afford the costs that go along with having someone oversee the work being done. The generals I work with charge a substantial fee for there services.

For those of you, or should I say to most of you who would like to save that money or spend it on upgrades, then the answer is finding the right contractors for your job. Most homeowners have neighbors and friends who have been through the kitchen remodel phase and could get some good references from them. If your friends used a general contractor, you can still get the references from the sub-contractors that worked on there kitchen.

You will probably need the following services to complete your project: drywall, paint, flooring, cabinets, counter top, electrical and plumbing. There is one important thing you must do when choosing your contractors. Go online to the Contractors State License Board at www.cslb.ca.gov or google it for your state.
